Murals and Wall Art

Mural Services in Olympia, Washington, and beyond

Murals have the power to do more than beautify—they create experiences that inspire, engage, and connect. I design murals that reflect your style and transform spaces into stunning focal points.

My primary focus is on celebrating nature’s beauty and importance through vibrant, biodiversity-inspired designs. However, I’m always excited to explore other creative visions to suit your space and goals. From bold and imaginative concepts to tailored solutions, my murals add character, tell stories, and leave lasting impressions. Let’s make your walls unforgettable.

Independent Bookshop

Wonderland Books - Bethesda, Maryland

For Bethesda, Maryland’s new indie bookshop, Wonderland Bookshop, I created a mural that celebrates the beauty of Mid-Atlantic native flowers—Aster, Wild Hydrangea, Black-Eyed Susan, Northern Maidenhair Fern, False Indigo, and Coneflower.

But beyond the vibrant design, this mural is about creating an atmosphere. The lively, organic arrangement of these plants invites a sense of wonder and curiosity, turning the space into an experience for anyone who walks through the door. As an artist, my goal is to craft artwork that enhances your environment, draws people in, and reflects the essence of your brand. For Wonderland Bookshop, this mural creates a unique, welcoming atmosphere that draws customers in and keeps them coming back for the charm and beauty of the space.

Bookshop Children's Section Column Art

In the children’s section of Wonderland Bookshop, this wraparound mural transforms a structural column into a vibrant celebration of imagination and nature. Designed with young readers in mind, the artwork features a playful array of Mid-Atlantic native flora and fauna—including Coneflower, False Indigo, Blue Jay, Belted Kingfisher, Red Fox, Black-Eyed Susan, Eastern Bluebird, Green Treefrog, Hay-Scented Fern, and more.

This mural turns an ordinary architectural element into a moment of wonder. By blending bright, friendly illustrations with native species, the column becomes a storybook in itself—encouraging kids to look closer, ask questions, and feel a deeper connection to the natural world.

Healing Spaces Through Art

Domestic Violence Recovery Center - Winooski, VT

Steps to End Domestic Violence provides a safe and supportive space for survivors as they rebuild their lives. This mural in the shelter’s common room was created with principles of trauma-informed design, focusing on calming colors and uplifting subject matter.

The common room is a hub for connection, where residents gather to talk, play games, and watch movies. To brighten the once-plain white walls, I incorporated elements of nature such as butterflies, a bird in flight symbolizing hope, and vibrant flowers. Subtle abstract shapes add a sense of movement and energy, bringing cheerfulness and optimism to a space meant for healing and community.

Domestic Violence Recovery Center - Winooski, VT

This mural transforms a hallway at the shelter into a whimsical, uplifting space designed with children in mind. The piece spans two walls and features a swooping purple and blue pathway to create motion and connection, symbolizing forward movement and growth.

Using warm earth tones, butterflies, and a hummingbird, I crafted a soothing scene that’s both joyful and calming. The design also incorporates the shelter’s brand colors, tying the artwork to its mission. It was an honor to bring care and vibrancy to this space, creating a small sanctuary of hope and comfort for the children and families who pass through.

Senior Community Center Celebration Mural

Iona Senior Center, Washington, D.C.

This mural was created as a tribute to the dedicated staff at Iona Senior Services, celebrating the heart they bring to their work every day. The wall is divided into two parts: above, a vibrant nature scene, symbolizing the journey of life, and Iona’s history through key milestones. Below, a simple, complementary backdrop where staff photos will be featured.

Painted in a busy hallway, I worked efficiently and with care, engaging warmly with community members while remaining mindful of those with disabilities who needed to pass through. The mural’s colors were chosen to harmonize with the existing hallway palette, creating a welcoming and cohesive space that feels right at home in Iona.

Vibrant Vermont

Nature Mural

Airbnb - Winooski, Vermont

This mural transforms a bedroom in an Airbnb in Winooski, Vermont. Dana, the Airbnb host, had painted the walls a beautiful deep green color, only to find that the color made the room feel small and dark.

By featuring vibrant plants and birds of Vermont, the mural not only lightens the room but also connects guests to the local environment. It creates a memorable focal point that encourages positive reviews and repeat bookings, helping Dana’s listing shine in a competitive market.

It was super easy to work with Alex, and I love the way the mural came out! Alex was very professional from the very beginning. She was intentional about the entire collaborative process with a structure that meant that I would have tons of say in the final product while respecting both of our time. When it was time to paint the mural, Alex worked many long days to be in and out of the space as soon as possible. The mural looks gorgeous, and I love that it reflects local Vermont forests and flowers. I’m planning on featuring it when I do my photo reshoots for my AirBnb. I’d highly recommend anyone to work with Alex!”

Iconic Nature of Patagonia Mural

Hostel Rufus - Puerto Natales, Chile

This mural lives at Hostel Rufus in Puerto Natales, Chile, just outside the iconic Torres del Paine National Park. Created in collaboration with artist Jessica Cao, the mural blends bold, graphic shapes with soft, atmospheric brushwork to reflect both our art styles and celebrate the landscape.

The design features the park’s dramatic mountains, native flora like Calafate, and the charismatic Carancho bird. All inspired by our time backpacking through the region.

Painted during a stay at the hostel, the project was shaped by the warmth and generosity of the hosts. The finished piece invites travelers into the natural and cultural richness of Patagonia, offering a memorable connection to place.

Climbing Festival Mobile Mural

An interactive mural for a climbing festival in New Hampshire. The foldable, mobile design made it easy to transport and set up, and festival attendees were encouraged to take photos with it, boosting social media engagement and creating a visual connection between the climbing community and my artwork.

I created this mural with climbing gear in mind—brightly colored pieces of trad climbing equipment, along with a touch of nature through plants, all painted in my signature vibrant colors.
