This cover for Seven Days Vermont was created for their annual “Reading Issue.” I wanted to show someone literally lost in a book, while also surrounding her with the kind of whimsical, otherworldly experience that stories invite. The illustration draws on elements of magical realism to reflect the immersive power of reading.
